WHAT DOES "NON-LINE-OF-SIGHT" MEAN?

It means that two locations may be able to communicate reliably even if they "can’t see each other". With previously available technology two stations might not be able to communicate even though they were physically close together if there were trees in between them. This is because those technologies used "microwave" radio frequencies that are absorbed by foliage. New technology is now available that uses frequencies that are less absorbed – and we have that technology available in the western reaches of Lake Bob Sandlin (within a few miles of the 21 bridge). Other areas will be added soon – please "stay tuned".

In the areas that have this technology it is much simpler to connect subscribers – many times with no outdoor antenna, or at least with very simple, unobtrusive, antennas mounted on the house (usually without tall poles). Thus this technology is "aesthetic friendly"

What all of this means is that broadband wireless Internet under this technology is feasible in circumstances where it has never been – perhaps your house. Cancel that slow dial-up connection with it’s frequent busy signals and drop-offs, eliminate that extra phone line, and begin enjoying the Internet experience.
